Creating a Brighter Future For Everyone
Bright Futures LBG is an innovative, charitable human capital institution that aims to do three simple but vital things:
First, we remove funding barriers to enable people to keep learning throughout life in subjects critical to the future of our economy. Second we offer high quality careers advice and mapping for all age groups.
Last, we provide thought leadership, data and
co-authored research with our partners the OECD and NCUB in areas such as the impact of AI and automation, the impact of shifting demographics, the changing face of our workforce and workplace and other thought provoking themes that aim to put human capital firmly back on the boardroom and policy agenda.
If you plan to study a programme relevant to the Guernsey economy, either on or off the island, and require financial support, then please get in touch. We might be able to help you.
Careers Advice and Mid Career Skills MOT
Bright Futures offers a range of professional careers advice and guidance to all age groups on the island.
To find out more or to book your appointment with one of our advisors please contact a member of the team. We are here to help.
Throughout the year, Bright Futures will host a number of events to raise awareness of changing human capital trends and implications to the workplace. Our next event, the C.I. Human Capital Summit: The Future of Work is on 2nd April 2020. Tickets are on sale via Eventbrite now.
Spotlight on Human Capital Survey
In May 2019 we launched our first Spotlight on Human Capital Survey. The results highlighted the need to revisit the population management strategy given that up to 5% of total turnover opportunity was being lost by carrying unfilled vacancies. 75% of local businesses were carrying between 1-4 vacancies, largely in IT, accounting and middle management.
We hope to run the survey again next year to build a data pool which can inform our investment decisions.
